Dark Horse is getting ready to relaunch their Aliens and Predator universe and four titles in development, including Aliens, Predator, Aliens vs. Predator, and Prometheus. Although they won't be released until the summer, we have a look at the cover art for the first issues.

As previously reported, the Aliens, Predator, and Aliens vs. Predator comic book series will be completely rebooted and will now share a single continuity. Additionally, a Prometheus comic book series is in the works and will be a part of this shared universe. A "writer's room" approach is being taken, with Chris Roberson writing the new Aliens series, Chris Sebela writing Aliens vs. Predator, Joshua Williamson on Predators, and Paul Tobin writing Prometheus.

While the series are considered canon and will follow after the movies, they will not continue the adventures of any of the main characters and will feature a brand new cast. We'll have more details on this as we get closer to June 2014. Until then, here's the release schedule and cover art:

  • Prometheus (June 11)
  • Aliens (June 25)
  • Aliens vs. Predator (July 2)
  • Predator (July 16)
