It was recently announced that Josh Brolin would be playing the role of Dwight in Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, and we now have the first photos of him from the movie. These two images come straight from director Robert Rodgiuez, who posted them to his Twitter account this evening.

The first photo, as Rodriguez says, features "bad ass Josh Brolin driving a Rodriguez-mobile. (A green box with a steering wheel bolted on)." The second image is the touch-up photo that should be similar to what we see in the final movie: "And here's a quick photo touch up I do to set a tone for the actors. (Probably won't be raining in final movie)"

The cast of Sin City: A Dame to Kill For includes Eva Green as "Ava Lord," Mickey Rourke as “Marv,” Jessica Alba as “Nancy,” Bruce Willis as "Hartigan," Rosario Dawson as “Gail," Jaime King as “Goldie/Wendy," Josh Brolin as “Dwight,” Joseph Gordon-Levitt as “Johnny,” Dennis Haysbert as “Manute,” Christopher Meloni as “Mort,” Jeremy Piven as “Bob,” Jamie Chung as “Miho,” Ray Liotta as “Joey,” Juno Temple as “Sally,” and Julia Garner as “Marcy.”

Production is currently underway at Rodriguez’s Troublemaker Studios in Austin, and a release date has already been set for October 4th. Here are some previously released details on Brolin's character, who was played by Clive Owen in the first movie:

"Dwight is one of the favorite characters from Miller’s books and the 2005 film. In SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR, Dwight is hunted down by the only woman he ever loved, Ava Lord, and then watches his life go straight to hell. Chronologically, this story takes place prior to “The Big Fat Kill” (featured in the film FRANK MILLER’S SIN CITY) and explains how Dwight came to have a dramatically different face."
