Paramount announced that they are delaying the release of the next installment of Friday the 13th, but another horror movie will be taking its place. Originally scheduled for release on March 13th, 2015, Friday the 13th will now be released on November 13th, 2015. Paramount must be happy with what they've seen of Scouts vs. Zombies, because it's taking the March 13th release slot.

Directed by Christopher Landon (Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones), Scouts vs. Zombies stars Tye Sheridan, Logan Miller, Joey Morgan, Sarah Dumont, David Koechner, Cloris Leachman, Halston Sage, and Patrick Schwarzenegger. The story follows "three scouts who, on the eve of their last camp out, discover the true meaning of friendship when they attempt to save their town from a zombie outbreak."

David Bruckner (V/H/S, The Signal) is directing Friday the 13th for Paramount. There are no casting or plot details at this time, but we'll update readers as soon as more information becomes available. With the November release date, could we see Jason Voorhees' first winter outing?
