Fright Rags recently announced that they would be releasing a limited edition Friday the 13th screenprint, with 60% of the proceeds going to support charities that help victims of domestic violence. The poster is signed by Adrienne King, Amy Steel, Dana Kimmel, and Kimberly Beck, and is now available.

"In the vast majority of horror movies, it comes down to the final girl who must face her darkest hour, and call upon her inner strength to vanquish the killer. Perhaps no film franchise is more popular in using this plot device than the Friday the 13th films.

Of course, when the credits roll we are reminded that we are in the comfort of our own homes and the violence we just witnessed was staged and designed for film. In the real world however, there is needless abuse occurring every day. In the US alone, a woman is assaulted or battered EVERY 9 SECONDS. What if we could do something to help those who have been affected by domestic violence?

And so the SURVIVE project was born.

SURVIVE is a limited edition collector's screenprint that depicts the first four Friday "Ladies of the Lake" and celebrates their strength as the legend of Jason looms over the waters below. Each poster was hand-printed and took eight full days to print. Then, each poster was signed by the four women to create a truly unique collector's item limited to only 175 prints.

60% of the proceeds from the sale of this print will be donated to four different charities that raise awareness for, and help victims of domestic violence. The charities were chosen carefully by each woman who signed the poster, in an effort to ensure that every dollar donated goes to help empower these victims and help them face down their real life horrors."
