"We got one!" It may be hard to believe, but it's already been 30 years since Janine Melnitz signaled the beginning of Peter and the gang's first paranormal case in Ghostbusters. To commemorate the iconic film's 30th birthday, a re-release of 1984's Ghostbusters has been announced for late this summer, and that's only the beginning of the celebration.

EW reports that more than 700 theaters will screen a restored and remastered Ghostbusters on August 29th. In addition to the re-release, the party will continue with a Ghostbusters 30th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray release on September 16th. If you're wondering where the love is for the film's 1989 supernatural sequel, don't despair: Ghostbusters II is coming to Blu-ray for the first time via a 25th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray, also set for a September 16th release. The sequel's Blu-ray will come with special features that include deleted scenes and new discussions on the film from Ivan Reitman and Dan Aykroyd.
