What begins as a weekend away slowly mutates into something stranger and more dangerous when an eerie local warning, a growing presence of unnatural yellow balloons, and the shadow of Vincent Vile begin closing in around the group.
Designed for cult horror-comedy audiences, The Yellow Balloon combines contained indie horror, surreal carnival imagery, absurdist menace, and handmade practical effects. The film leans into a simple but instantly visual hook: a cursed yellow balloon that turns something innocent into something threatening.
“The goal was to make something strange, funny, disgusting, and memorable,” said Jason D.
