BONES OF OUR STARS, BLOOD OF OUR WORLD By Cullen Bunn: "New York Times bestselling and Eisner Award–nominated comics writer Cullen Bunn presents his adult  novel debut BONES OF OUR STARS, BLOOD OF OUR WORLD (On-Sale November 11, 2025; Gallery  Books) —a high-stakes hunt for a masked killer whose brutal murders may be a portent of an evil as  ancient and cold as the stars themselves.

Cullen Bunn is a comics writer, novelist, and short story writer, best known for his work on Uncanny X Men, X-Men: Blue, Magneto, and various Deadpool miniseries for Marvel Comics, including the New  York Times bestseller Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe, and his creator-owned series The Damned  and The Sixth Gun for Oni Press and Harrow County for Dark Horse Comics, as well as his middle grade  horror novel Crooked Hills, and his short story work collection Creeping Stones & Other Stories. He also

writes Venomized for Marvel, PumpkinHead for Dynamite, Subspecies for Action Lab, Shadow Roads for  Oni Press, Regression for Image, Unholy Grail, Brothers Dracul, and Dark Ark for Aftershock Comics, and Harrow County for Dark Horse. He is a Ghastly Award winner, along with being a nominee for the Eisner  Award and Bram Stoker Award.

The bodies are stacking up on Wilson Island.

The town’s sheriff has his suspicions but no genuine evidence for an arrest, even as the murders continue  and appear increasingly ritualistic in nature. When an arrest is finally made, all hell breaks loose— literally—as a terrifying horror rises to envelop the town. Soon, it’s all up to an unforgettable and motley  group of residents to band together and eliminate an ancient evil in a desperate struggle for survival.

Bunn crafts a story that tests the bounds of human connection in the face of a shocking bloodbath.  Super 8 meets It as the residents of a small beach town abandon long held judgements of each other  to survive. A bitter sheriff must grit his teeth and accept help from the island mob boss, while a D&D  Master, the crew of an overworked extermination company, a tenacious local journalist, and a group  of high school seniors looking forward to graduation and the rest of their lives, race to piece together  the identity of the illusive killer.

At once cinematic, gory, and full of heart—albeit a bloody heart ripped out from someone’s chest— Bunn showcases the swiftness with which an entire town can be brought to its knees by the most  unexpected of evil forces…"

Former Head of Shudder Launches “The Great Halloween Puzzle & Podcast”: "Craig Engler, former General Manager of AMC Networks’ horror streaming service Shudder, has launched The Great Halloween Puzzle & Podcast, the first-ever jigsaw puzzle with an integrated podcast.

Engler, who co-created Syfy’s hit TV series Z Nation and who greenlit fan favorite shows like Creepshow and The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs, was inspired to turn his passion for horror and Halloween into a family-friendly puzzle because of his 10-year-old daughter. The idea was sparked while the two were working on a puzzle together and wondered about the story behind it. Realizing they could create their own, they combined their love of Halloween with Engler’s storytelling background to design a puzzle that comes to life through an accompanying podcast.

“People often listen to something while doing a puzzle,” Engler said. “We wanted to create something that wasn’t just background noise—something that was part of the experience itself. And we knew it had to be about our favorite holiday, Halloween.”

Engler and his daughter partnered with comic book artist Ryan Dunlavey (Action PhilosophersM.O.D.O.K) and colorist Adam Guzowski (NailbiterTMNT) to create the puzzle’s artwork. The family-friendly design depicts a small-town Halloween parade that transforms as it’s built, revealing hidden details tied to the history and traditions of Halloween. The companion podcast deepens the experience with historical insights and clues that correspond to sections of the puzzle.

“For instance, in the image on the box, there’s a Victorian mansion on the hill with a party going on,” Engler said. “But when you assemble that section, it becomes a haunted house filled with ghosts and monsters. The podcast tells the story of haunted houses while giving you clue to what you’re building.”

To enhance the Halloween vibe of their project, they also included a custom Halloween playlist, a watchlist of both scary and not-so-scary movies, and a recipe for a forgotten Halloween treat called a Soul Cake.

“My daughter and I have always loved Halloween—costumes, candy, pumpkin carving, all of it,” Engler said. “With The Great Halloween Puzzle & Podcast, we’ve turned that passion into an interactive experience families and friends can share. It’s like getting Halloween in a box.”

The Great Halloween Puzzle & Podcast is live on Kickstarter now at www.thegreatpuzzleco.com, and the campaign ends at midnight on Halloween. Backers can choose rewards like being drawn in the puzzle, or getting a shout out from the creators in the podcast."
