Grindhouse Releasing To Premiere CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST 4K Special Edition at Beyond Fest at American Cinematheque: "Grindhouse Releasing's 4K Special Edition of CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST will have its world premiere this Sunday, October 5, 2025, at [Beyond Fest at American Cinematheque] in Los Angeles.

Tickets: https://beyondfest.com/film/cannibal-holocaust-uncut/.

Originally released in 1980, Ruggero Deodato's controversial horror classic remains one of the most infamous and influential films in the genre.

Grindhouse Releasing has restored every shocking frame of CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST for this special edition, which presents the Alan Yates "Green Inferno" documentary footage directly from the original 16mm camera negative in its native aspect ratio of 1.37:1 for the very first time.

"It's a whole new and perhaps even more powerful experience watching the movie this way, with the alternating aspect ratios," said Grindhouse Releasing owner Bob Murawski. "This is essentially the same way we constructed Orson Welles' long-unfinished masterpiece THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WIND. And, of course, we have also painstakingly preserved the original theatrical version of the movie as well for our upcoming ultra-deluxe UHD release."

Be there at 9:30 p.m. October 5 at the American Cinematheque Aero Theatre (1328 Montana Ave., Santa Monica, CA 90403) and be among the first to see this incredible new restoration!

With album artwork by French artist Pascal Casolari, the EP features music the band has composed for amusement parks and theme parks, as well tracks from their live shows. It also includes a remix of a song from the score to their horror film THE DEAD MATTER (2010) and unreleased music written for various film projects that have yet to be fully realized. “We’ve wanted to share this material and make it more readily available for a while now. It gives fans a glimpse into the some of the other projects we’ve undertaken when not working on studio albums.”

Midnight Syndicate recently completed the original score for Universal Horror Unleashed in Las Vegas, the first year-round horror experience from Universal Destinations & Experiences. The band is currently working their next full-length album, slated for release in 2026.

“This next album has been in development for a while now,” said Edward Douglas. “We’re really happy with the direction it’s heading and are looking forward to next year. CELEPHAÏS - H.P. LOVECRAFT ADAPTATION FEATURING ONE OF TONY TODD’S LAST ROLES RELEASED ON BLU-RAY: "Dream Apex Pictures’s adaptation of the H.P. Lovecraft story Celephaïs is now available on Blu-ray on Indiegogo. It tells the story of a boy who has the most wonderful dream when he is seven, and then spends sixty-six miserable years desperately trying to find it again, to escape his mundane and depressing life. The story is a mix of dark fantasy and horror that deals with familiar Lovecraft themes: desperation, isolation, obsession, dreams, cosmic horror, and, of course, madness.

The film has one of Tony Todd’s final performances. Tony Timpone, former editor of Fangoria magazine, said, “Tony Todd fans will be overjoyed to hear the late actor's darkly mellifluous voice once more.

H.P. Lovecraft film adaptations have largely ignored his Dream-cycle, and Dream Apex Pictures is thrilled to bring the Dreamlands to life in this award-winning*, 34 minute short film. Producer Joe Lemieux and director Michael Neel are passionate Lovecraft fans, and they have made the kind of film that they would like to see.

James Michael Roddy, director of The Shark is Still Working, said, “Visually, the film feels both timeless and tactile. Special effects artists Jeff O’Brien and Nicholas Flanagan rely almost entirely on practical techniques such as latex gore, puppetry, and inventive camera tricks, eschewing modern digital shortcuts. The result is a hand-crafted authenticity that could have existed a century ago, but still feels startlingly fresh today.”

H.P. Lovecraft’s Celephaïs Limited Edition Blu-ray is on sale at Indiegogo.

Halloween Team Returns with “HALLOWEEN TEAM: SHADOWS” Miniseries: "Just in time for Spooky Season and Halloween, the hit comic book series Halloween Team returns, via Comicker Press, for HALLOWEEN TEAM: SHADOWS – a four-issue sequel that answers burning questions, and raises new ones, as the adventure that began in the first volume continues. Issue #1 releases on major digital comics retailers on September 30th, with new issues releasing monthly thereafter.

Halloween Team’s much-anticipated return is a highlight of Comicker’s recent focus on horror titles – including Nightshade Anthology by Lorry Jamison, and No One Gets Hurt from Ben Ford and Enmanuel Martinez. Comicker Press is an on-the-rise indie comics label, with a commitment to creator ownership that sets them apart from other publishers. Comicker’s mission is to bring the best of independent comics to the world, and that mission continues to grow and expand in 2025 and beyond.

Says Comicker head Peter Steiner: “We can’t wait to get new issues of HALLOWEEN TEAM out there in time for Halloween. Readers have been waiting to see how the next chapter in this story plays out, and I think they’re going to be very happy with what Danny, Bugra, and Matt deliver here. This is big, epic, and exciting – with new heroes, new villains, and characters that you really come to care about.”

HALLOWEEN TEAM is a compelling, character-first saga that blends horror, adventure, mystery, and romance. The original volume began with a compelling premise: Years ago, five misfit kids banded together to form Halloween Team - a group dedicated to solving mysteries and hunting monsters in the small town of Greenwood, MA. Now, twenty years later, the kids are grown and lead separate lives - until a new mystery brings them together for one more adventure.

In the first Halloween Team volume, that reunion eventually leads to shocking revelations about the team’s past, and to a cliffhanger ending that begs the question of where the team goes from here. In HALLOWEEN TEAM: SHADOWS, the team is now determined to help a friend in need – but the fractured relationships between the team members may make victory near-impossible. Now, the team is put to the ultimate test – and must battle through mistrust and heartache in order to save not just their small town of Greenwood, but also the entire world.

Upon its initial digital release in 2022, HALLOWEEN TEAM garnered positive reviews and was covered by major outlets like GamesRadar / Newsarama, Daily Dead, and Fanbase Press. Writer/creator Danny Baram now finds himself eager and excited to work with Comicker to finally tell the rest of the story.

“There was so much story left to be told when it came to Halloween Team, and SHADOWS really escalates things to a whole other level.” says Baram. “These new chapters expand the world of Halloween Team, and you really get this big, blockbuster-movie sequel that’s bigger and more epic in every way imaginable. The art coming in from our newest team member, Buğra Batuhan Berah, is absolutely amazing – and fits the new, darker tone really well. At the same time, I’m so happy that we have Matt Shults back doing these great flashback sequences for us. He keeps upping his game, and I love having that sense of continuity with the original volume.”

HALLOWEEN TEAM: SHADOWS is available to pre-order now.
