Vixen by Micheline Pitt Releases Bride of Frankenstein Collection to Celebrate the 90th Anniversary:
"Universal Products & Experiences and Los Angeles-based fashion house Vixen by Micheline Pitt are proud to debut a new capsule collection celebrating the 90th anniversary of Bride of Frankenstein. The release marks the latest addition to Vixen’s official Universal Monsters line, following the success of the Creature from the Black Lagoon collection last summer.
"Few characters in horror history are as visually iconic, or emotionally complex as Frankenstein's Monster and his Bride," said Micheline Pitt, CEO and Designer of Vixen by Micheline Pitt. "As a lifelong Universal Monsters fan, it was an absolute dream to reimagine these legends through a modern, feminine lens while honoring the legacy of their unforgettable designs."
The new capsule collection features inspired fashion pieces and prints that blend cinematic horror with contemporary craftsmanship. Highlights include:
“This collaboration brings to life the timeless allure of Universal Monsters with fashion that is both nostalgic and wearable,” said Pitt. “From bold graphics to sculptural silhouettes, this collection captures the haunting romance, tragedy, and beauty that defines The Bride of Frankenstein and Frankenstein’s Monster.”
As with all Vixen releases, each garment was thoughtfully designed for longevity and ethically produced in limited runs with slow fashion values in mind. Available in sizes XS - 4X.
"We’re committed to making high-quality pieces that can be worn and loved for years," said Pitt. "This isn’t fast fashion—it’s collectible couture for horror fans who want to wear their love of cinema on their sleeve."
This marks another milestone for Vixen, one of the first female-owned fashion houses to officially license and design apparel for classic horror properties. The Universal Monsters collection continues to grow with this latest installment—bringing the past to life in thrilling new ways."

From Writer/Director Michael Gingold:
“When I was growing up in the 1980s, slasher movies were everywhere, both in theaters and on the burgeoning VHS scene, offering gruesome terrors and cheap thrills of every kind. They continue to be enjoyed by countless fans today, and to influence many modern filmmakers. Slasher Trash is a celebration of these no-holds-barred horror films, one that aims to satisfy die-hard fans while drawing new devotees into this dark world of maniacal murderers and over-the-top mayhem. Get ready for some seriously deep cuts!”
From Executive Producer Gareth ‘Slasher Trash’ Morgan:
"I'm a lifelong devoted slasher fan who poured my obsession into building a Facebook page in 2017, where I could relentlessly riff on the good, the bad, and the trashy. Slasher Trash has since gone on to amass almost 200,000 followers, who share my love for everything stalk-and-slash related. I'm also super passionate about supporting independent filmmakers, having served as executive producer on a score of indie slasher films."

AWARD-WINNING FILM BIG EASY QUEENS NOW STREAMING ON HULU: "Advocate Originals’ Big Easy Queens, the award-winning queer cult film directed by Erynn Dalton and written by Robert Leleux, is now streaming on Hulu. The unapologetically queer horror comedy stars RuPaul’s Drag Race fan favorite Suzie Toot, popular drag artist Miss Bouvèé, beloved Florida entertainer Jennifer McClain, American Idol alum Matthew Darren, Cuban-American actor Alexander Zenoz, and drag artist Varla Jean Merman. Watch the trailer on the film’s website here.
Set in New Orleans and filmed in Fort Lauderdale, the film blends camp, noir, horror, and high-drama drag into a blood-spattered love letter to queer resilience and resistance. The feature was shot in 2022 during the height of Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” law and anti-drag legislation.
“The original plan was to film in Louisiana, but we quickly realized we had a rare opportunity to actively push back on these laws by making the film in a place that was actively trying to deny the rights of those in Florida’s LGBTQ community. You don’t like drag? Well, now there are drag queens strutting in the streets of Fort Lauderdale with a film crew in tow. It was a joyful experience for all of us,” says Erynn Dalton, Director of Big Easy Queens.
Big Easy Queens is 80 minutes of pure queer horror comedy featuring original musical numbers, voodoo, zombies, and (of course) drag queens! Set in the steamy underworld of New Orleans, Big Easy Queens follows the Mob Queen of the Quarter, Minnie Bouvèé (Miss Bouvèé), and her rivalry with her estranged sister, Mimi Bouvèé-Truvé (Suzie Toot), and Minnie's arch-nemesis, Poodles Makenzie (Jennifer McClain). After Minnie has Poodles' crew brutally slaughtered, she braces for the blowback; what she doesn’t expect, however, is to be stalked by a creepy masked figure who leaves behind bouquets of gardenias and terrifying notes. Is this Poodle’s revenge? Or perhaps the work of Minnie’s estranged sister, who stole her man (Matthew Darren) years ago and has suddenly reappeared in her life?
“Big Easy Queens is full of glitter, gore, and giggles, and every piece of this film and its creation is truly something special,” said Mark Berryhill, CEO of equalpride, parent company of Advocate Originals. “Filming in Fort Lauderdale allowed us to confront the attempts to silence such a powerful and influential community, and stand firm in empowering its members. This feature is a part of a purposeful roster of Advocate Originals media that addresses the need for dynamic, inclusive representation in entertainment, and we couldn’t be more proud of that.”
Big Easy Queens was executive produced by Ray Thivierge and Matthew Darren. Additional film producers include Terry Hardacre, Swanson, Steven Evans, Rodney Tiedt, Rodney Turner, Kevin and Geric Frost, Don D'Arminio, and Marc Martorana.
