Twenty Twenty-Four North American Premiere Details: "We have two screenings in San Francisco, hosted by San Francisco Independent Film Festival. Twenty Twenty-Four is making its North American premiere at the Roxie Theatre on February the 5th at 9:30 PM, with a repeat showing on February the 8th at 7:15 PM. Director Richard Mundy and Composer Harry Kirby will be in attendance for an audience Q&A after the screenings.

Twenty Twenty-Four is also screening at the Vault Festival in London on the same day as the first San Francisco screening - 5th Feb. The Vault Festival is London's largest annual arts festival and takes place entirely underground, beneath London's Waterloo Station. Seeing Twenty Twenty-Four in the Vaults Theatre will give audiences the unique experience of watching a film set in an underground bunker, while really underground themselves. Lead actor Andrew Kinsler will also be in attendance for the event.

Two Screenings. Two Cities. Two Countries. One Day. FEB 5th.

Press Release: Twenty Twenty-Four is an award-winning British independent feature film, that defies convention and pushes the boundaries of what a modern independent film can be. Director Richard Mundy’s self-funded feature film debut more than holds its own against mainstream and large budget films. Three and a half years in the making, Twenty Twenty-Four is a testament to the creative spirit of its cast and crew and the technological advances of the digital age. Twenty Twenty-Four premiered in London at the Empire Cinema, Leicester Square, with the British Independent Film Festival in 2016.

Twenty Twenty-Four tells the story of a lone scientist called Roy, who maintains an underground bunker for the coming nuclear disaster. But after becoming prematurely isolated, he slowly begins to question his own reality and whether he is truly alone.

Twenty Twenty-Four is a film small on a budget, but big on ideas. Although it identifies itself as a suspenseful psychological thriller, at its deeper levels Twenty Twenty-Four is a film about human nature, paranoia, the darkness capable in all of us and how this shapes the world as we perceive it. Richard Mundy’s immersive film is a tense and unsettling nightmare you’ll never be sure you’ve woken up from."

Watch a New Trailer for Diane: Press Release: "Independent writer/director Michael Mongillo (THE WIND, WELCOME TO EARTH and BEING MICHAEL MADSEN) has wrapped production on the supernatural thriller DIANE, a tale of extreme obsession and drastic consequences. In the vein of the stark terror of THE RING, DIANE is an atmospheric tale of a war veteran (Jason Alan Smith of Mike Flanagan’s BEFORE I WAKE) haunted by a woman (Carlee Avers of VERONICA MARS) whose body he finds in his backyard. “I wanted DIANE to be chilling and emotionally powerful,” says filmmaker Mongillo. “The film has a social relevance and also gets under the skin of audiences to impart a haunting, lingering effect.”

In DIANE, Afghanistan War veteran Steve’s lasting injuries and regrets plunge him into a daily soulless routine until the body of a beautiful singer, Diane, is discovered in his backyard. Steve takes a photo of her corpse with his cell phone before reporting the murder and he becomes obsessed with the dead woman’s image. Now a prime suspect, Steve is scrutinized by the police, hassled by Diane’s widower, and attacked by self-righteous neighbors. Before long, the malevolent ghost of Diane weaves a dark spell in Steve’s psyche that leads to strange and startling revelations.

“DIANE is my favorite of the films I’ve directed,” says Mongillo. “With DIANE I achieved what I set out to do with the fewest compromises yet. I’m confident that moviegoers will find DIANE an emotionally honest and intellectually satisfying movie. I am so proud of the work of my long-time collaborators, especially star and executive producer, Jason Alan Smith, who delivers a gut-wrenching performance.”

Mongillo says the critical essays of Roland Barthes, the video art of Bill Viola, and the illustrations of Edward Gorey were all influences on DIANE. It's cinematic inspirations include Stanley Kubrick’s THE SHINING, Gus Van Sant’s crime and punishment road movie DRUGSTORE COWBOY, and Brian De Palma’s stylized suspense/thriller BLOW OUT. Placing his fourth feature in literary terms, Mongillo describes DIANE as “Stephen King meets Elmore Leonard.”

As he begins submitting DIANE to international film festivals and prospective distributors, Mongillo says, “I am looking forward to audiences all over the world discovering DIANE. My goal, in addition to directing something entertaining and deeply unsettling, was to create an honest work about the human condition. Horror has always served as a backdrop to telling character-driven stories and all the best ghost stories are actually tales of atonement, and that’s DIANE in a nutshell.”"

Child Eater Release Details: Press Release: "Based on the popular short film of the same name, Child Eater is the directorial debut of Erlingur Thoroddsen and is a creepy, stylish roller-coaster ride inspired by the classic horror films of the 1980's.The deal was negotiated by Eric D. Wilkinson for MVD Entertainment Group and Raphael Margules and J.D. Lifshitz for Boulderlight Pictures on behalf of the filmmakers.

In Child Eater, little Lucas (Colin Critchley) goes missing from his bedroom in the middle of the night, his babysitter Helen (Cait Bliss) ventures out into the deep, dark woods armed only with a flashlight. But these are no ordinary woods. They were once the home of Robert Bowery (Jason Martin), a serial killer who years ago came for children's eyes in order to keep himself from going blind. But Robert Bowery was stopped and killed... or was he?

Originally conceived as an award nominated short at SXSW back in 2012, producer Perri Nemiroff shares her excitement in turning it into a full length feature film and it's 1980's horror inspiration: "Having grown up in the 80's, we're undeniably influenced by classic slashers like Freddy, Jason and Michael Myers, and also the tone of their respective films, particularly their ability to deliver powerful scares, but exhilarating and enjoyable ones, too. Child Eater is bigger, badder, and scarier and really gave us the chance to subvert genre tropes and truly show horror fans things they've never seen before."

Following its World Premiere at the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival that boasted sold out screenings (a second late night screening was added which was sold out as well) in addition to winning four awards at the Fantastically Horrifying Cinema Festival (including Best Film, Best Cinematography and Best Actress), MVD Entertainment Group picked up the film for North American distribution. MVD's Director of Acquisitions, Eric D. Wilkinson, expressed his excitement about the film: "Like the filmmakers, I too grew up on 80's horror and immediately fell in love with this movie. Robert Bowery is every bit as scary as Freddy Kruger and in some ways, even more so. After fans watch this film I'm willing to bet they will be sleeping with their closet lights on!"

MVD Entertainment Group has scheduled Child Eater for release on March 28th via VOD, Digital, and DVD.

The DVD can be ordered at the MVD Shop or on Amazon"
