Syfy is making a number of announcements today regarding their upcoming programming slate, with one of their bigger projects being an anthology horror series from Jamie Foxx. Deadline revealed that Jamie Foxx will write, direct, and produce the five-episode horror anthology series, which is planned to air this October.

The project has been described as being in the vein Tales From The Crypt and The Twilight Zone, with stories that focus on "creepy morality tales with themes such as envy, jealousy and superficiality." Here's what Jamie Foxx had to say about working on the anthology:

“This is a project that I’ve wanted to do for a long time and I’m so happy to see it come to life... Get ready to lose it when some special friends and I bring the scares this October, and who knows… maybe I’ll make a guest appearance or two along the way!”

At the moment, the series is untitled, but we'll have more details as it gets closer to October. We should also have an update tomorrow with additional details on Syfy's upcoming programs.
