Just in time for St. Patrick's Day, we have news of a Leprechaun reboot happening over at Lionsgate. According to Variety, Lionsgate is teaming up with WWE Studios to produce the film, with plans to release it sometime in 2013.

This is a very early announcement, so at this time there is no writer or director attached. The original film was released in 1993 and spawned multiple direct to video sequels including Leprechaun in the Hood and Leprechaun 4: In Space. WWE Studios is looking to relaunch their film division and this will be the first of multiple projects for the studio. We'll report back as soon as development of the project moves forward.
