With the 2014 Flashback Weekend Chicago Horror Convention just right around the corner, legendary special effects artist Robert Kurtzman recently shared some cool photos of the make-up appliances that he’ll be using next weekend when Robert Englund is transformed into Freddy Krueger one last time.

And for those of you who may have missed the original announcement, Englund will be appearing in full Freddy Krueger make-up for one final time, courtesy of Kurtzman who will be doing the Freddy make-up application himself on Friday, August 8th. Fans in attendance at Flashback Weekend will also have the opportunity to take their picture with Robert Englund in his full Freddy make-up as part of a special photo-op that evening which will celebrate the upcoming 30th anniversary of Wes Craven’s A Nightmare on Elm Street as well as help benefit the Digital Projector Fund for the Midway Drive-in in Dixon, Illinois.

Later that evening, Englund will also be appearing live on stage in his Freddy Krueger make-up during "FRIDAY NIGHT FRIGHTS LIVE," a live on-stage late night horror talk show hosted by Chicago Horror host legend Svengoolie (Rich Koz). The panel will feature Freddy and other celebrity guest appearances, entertainment, and surprises. Englund will also be on hand for the remainder of Flashback Weekend doing daily autograph sessions, Q&A’s and appearances at different screenings as well.

The Flashback Weekend 2014 line-up also features a Phantasm 35th anniversary reunion with director Don Coscarelli, Angus Scrimm and the rest of the original cast, Lance Henriksen, Jen and Sylvia Soska, Katharine Isabelle, Traci Lords, Zach Galligan, Amanda Wyss, Ronee Blakley,  Jennifer Rubin, Monica Keena, Robert Rusler, Caroline Williams, William Forsythe, a Hellraiser reunion featuring Barbie Wilde, and Nicholas Vance, a Children of the Corn reunion with John Franklin and Courtney Gains, Charles Band, Chicago Horror Host legend Svengoolie, and many more!

Flashback Weekend is also a horror convention with a deeper initiative. Their philanthropic efforts are dedicated to the preservation of the American Drive-In. Flashback Weekend owns and operates the Midway Drive-In located in Dixon, IL to support the film industry and to present classic 35mm horror film festivals. For this reason, all net proceeds from Flashback Weekend go to the preservation and operation of the Midway Drive-In, located in Dixon, IL.
