New Living Dead Dolls from Mezco Toyz take a much darker and macabre spin on the Beauty and the Beast tale. Both dolls stand ten inches tall and were crafted to have realistic features with five points of articulation. These dolls are expected to ship sometime between February and April of 2017, and you can view them in new photos.

From Mezco Toyz: "Beauty is the embodiment of innocence, pure in her deathly white visage. The Beast is the unspeakably hideous creature shroud in black and striking fear into the hearts of even the bravest men. Can Beauty sooth the Beast and will the Beast find redemption in true love? Or will the Beast's tragic curse bring it all to a horrific end?

Join us as Living Dead Dolls breathe life into the star-crossed pair with exquisitely crafted period clothing. Beauty is adorned in a flowing white dress with inspirations from the Second French Empire.

Beast is cloaked in black, tailored clothing of a somewhat refined gentleman. Together they evoke not only the eternal struggle of love but but the balance of ying and yang.

Both dolls feature realistic glass-look eyes and stand 10 inches tall with 5 points of articulation. As a testament to their undying affection, the pair comes entombed in a special double coffin perfect for display.

About the Author - Tamika Jones

Tamika hails from North Beach, Maryland, a tiny town inches from the Chesapeake Bay.She knew she wanted to be an actor after reciting a soliloquy by Sojourner Truth in front of her entire fifth grade class. Since then, she's appeared in over 20 film and television projects. In addition to acting, Tamika is the Indie Spotlight manager for Daily Dead, where she brings readers news on independent horror projects every weekend.

The first horror film Tamika watched was Child's Play. Being eight years old at the time, she remembers being so scared when Chucky came to life that she projectile vomited. It's tough for her to choose only one movie as her favorite horror film, so she picked two: Nosferatu and The Stepford Wives (1975).
