We are sad to report that actor Michael Gough has passed at age 94. While probably best known for playing Alfred in Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever, and Batman & Robin, Michael Gough's career as an actor spanned over 60 years and included numerous horror appearances.
He played Arthur in 1958's Hammer Horror classic, Horror of Dracula, and had roles in The Phantom of the Opera, Dr. Terror's House of Horrors, The Legend of Hell House, The Skull, and Sleepy Hollow, among others. He was a great actor who was really able to bring a little something special to each role he took on, and if you only know him from his Batman films, give some of the older ones I mentioned above a try. He was a great actor and will definitely be missed.
