We've known that a new Alan Wake title has been in development for some time, but we'll finally see the game for ourselves on December 10th. That is the date of Spike's Video Game Awards, which will reveal a new Alan Wake game during the show. It has already been confirmed that the game is NOT Alan Wake 2, but will be a "full download title on Xbox Live Arcade".

While we won't go into spoilers, the end of Alan Wake and the downloadable episodes left the story wide open for future releases. It was rumored earlier that Remedy has been working on a downloadable game titled Alan Wake: Night Springs. In the original game, "Night Springs" is a fictional TV series within the game that is along the line of The Twilight Zone. Whether or not Alan Wake is the main focus of the new game is unknown at this point.

Another game to be shown off during the Video Game Awards is a brand new franchise from BioWare. While we don't expect it to be a horror title, it would be to see the AAA developer give us horror fans a little more love. The Video Game Awards will air Saturday, December 10 on Spike TV at 8:00 p.m.
