"It only happens once every 90 years." If you've been eagerly awaiting the arrival of Ari Aster's second feature-length film after he shocked audiences with Hereditary, then you'll be pleased to know that the release date for Midsommar has been bumped up more than one month.
As announced at CinemaCon and on A24's official Twitter page, Midsommar is now slated for a Wednesday, July 3rd release, bumping it up more than one month earlier than its previous August 9th release date:

Although specific plot details for Midsommar have been kept under wraps, the previously released teaser trailer (see below) follows a group of friends to a rural community to take part in a festival that only happens every 90 years. Although the movie features vibrant summery colors (with Aster re-teaming with Hereditary cinematographer Pawel Pogorzelski), there are seemingly sinister intentions lurking just beneath the surface.
Written and directed by Aster, Midsommar stars Florence Pugh, Jack Reynor, William Jackson Harper, and Will Poulter. We'll be sure to keep Daily Dead readers updated on the anticipated film from the writer and director of Hereditary.
