The final season of True Blood is quickly approaching and HBO will air the first of ten episodes on June 22nd. With Season 7 starting next month, fans are unsure what the final fate will be for each Bon Temps resident, be they human or vampire. Shedding some light on this uncertainty is the latest True Blood poster, which hints at what could be in store for a central character.
With the tagline "True to the End," the recently released True Blood poster shows Sookie Stackhouse staring ahead with a single tear of blood trickling down her cheek. Does this imply that Sookie will become a vampire by series' end? Viewers will have to wait for next month to see whether this poster is just a tease or a foreshadowing of what's to come for Sookie, adding more intrigue to an already much-anticipated final season.
“True Blood begins its ten-episode, seventh and final season SUNDAY, JUNE 22 at 9:00 p.m. Mixing romance, suspense, mystery and humor, the series takes place in a world where vampires and humans co-exist, after vampires have come out of the coffin, thanks to the invention of mass-produced synthetic blood that means they no longer need humans as a nutritional source. The series follows waitress and part-faerie Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), who can hear people’s thoughts, vampire Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) and vampire Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgård). Alan Ball created the show, which is based on the bestselling Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris.”
