id Software is holding its annual QuakeCon this week and they have released a new trailer for Rage: "Uprising" tells the story of your epic journey through RAGE -- from bewildered Ark survivor to heroic freedom fighter in the Wasteland's fight against the oppressive Authority.

RAGE, slated for release in North America on October 4th, features intense first-person shooter action, breakneck vehicle combat, an expansive world to explore and jaw-dropping graphics powered by id's revolutionary id Tech 5 technology. Set in the not-too-distant future after an asteroid impacts Earth, you emerge into a vast wasteland to discover humanity working to rebuild itself against such forces as bandit gangs, mutants, and more. From the pioneers of first-person shooter gameplay, RAGE promises an experience like no other.
