Deep Silver sent word that the closed beta for Dead Island: Epidemic has launched, with gamers who recently pre-registered being among the first to play the game. For those that can't play yet, we've been given a new batch of screenshots to share:

"The world’s first ZOMBA (Zombie Online Multiplayer Battle Arena) enters the finals stages as Deep Silver kicks off the Closed Beta for Dead Island: Epidemic. Zombie and MOBA fans can now test the game 24/7 and be part of the final stages of development. New players can join the closed beta at www.playdie.net and receive exclusive in-game items and rewards as the Closed Beta proceeds which they can keep and use after the beta ends.

Dead Island: Epidemic will pit 3 teams of players against each other in a desperate fight for survival. Dead Island: Epidemic is a Free-to-Play PC title that will feature all the trademark elements that are part of a Dead Island experience."
