Halloween may be over, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t great horror and sci-fi movies arriving this Tuesday on Blu-ray and DVD. Scream Factory is keeping themselves busy with the release of both Bloodsucking Bastards and Stung (the latter in conjunction with IFC Midnight), and for those of you creature feature fans out there, Lavalantula comes home on November 3rd.

Other notable releases this week include México Barbaro, The Diabolical, Arrow’s special edition Blu for Tenderness of the Wolves, and The Diabolical.

Bloodsucking Bastards (Scream Factory Blu-ray & DVD)

Bloodsucking Bastards stars Fran Kranz as Evan Sanders, a low-level, dutiful employee stuck in a boring job at a soul-killing every corporation. Evan’s the kind of guy who does all the work and gets none of the credit, but at least he gets to spend his days with his beautiful co-worker/girlfriend Amanda (Emma Fitzpatrick) and his slacker best friend Tim (Joey Kern), so he soldiers on in the hope of one day getting his coveted sales director position.

Unfortunately, it all falls apart in one fell swoop when Amanda breaks up with him and Evan’s boss Ted (Joel Murray) hands his promotion to his college nemesis Max (Pedro Pascal). And it isn’t just their sordid past Evan has to deal with. After his fellow officemates start going through disturbing changes (which, paradoxically, make them better employees) and bodies begin to pile up, Evan learns the horrible truth: Max is a vampire. And even worse… a vamp with a plan.

Evan must find a way to stop the evil brewing amidst the cubicles, expose Max as the bloodsucking bastard that he is, and save his pals before his life and career go from dead-end…to just dead.

Special Features Include Gag Reel, Behind the Scenes (“Bloodsucking Bastards on Set”) and Audio Commentary with Dr. God comedy troupe including Director Brian James O’Connell, Producer/Actor Justin Ware, Writer/Actor Sean Cowhig, Actor Neil W. Garguilo, and Actor David F. Park.

Lavalantula (Alchemy, DVD)

After a dormant volcano erupts miles outside of Los Angeles, something within the molten hot lava is awakened. Birthed from the bowels of the earth itself, arachnid-like creatures with an obsidian-black exoskeleton swarm out. One man, Colton West, a washed-up, former A-list action star, suddenly finds himself the real life hero as he's forced to use his onscreen characters' know-how to save the entire city from being victims to the most horrifying villains you couldn't write any better.

México Barbaro (Dark Sky Films, DVD)

Eight Mexican directors unite to bring tales of the most brutally terrifying Mexican traditions and legends to vividly shocking life. MEXICO BARBARO presents haunting stories that have been woven into the fabric of a nation s culture, some passed down through the centuries and some new, but all equally frightening. Stories of boogeymen, trolls, ghosts, monsters, Aztec sacrifices, and of course the Day of the Dead all come together in urban and rural settings to create an anthology that is as original as it is familiar and as important as it is horrifying.

Stung (Scream Factory/IFC Midnight, Blu-ray & DVD)

A fancy garden party goes terribly wrong after a local species of wasps mutate into giant predators. It's up to Paul (Matt O’Leary, Mother’s Day, The Lone Ranger) and Julia (Jessica Cook, Awkward), two catering staffers at the high-society event, to stop the killer creatures: an effort that kickstarts a budding romance between the two. This buzzingly fun thriller also stars Lance Henriksen (Aliens, Pumpkinhead) and Clifton Collins Jr. (Pacific Rim, Transcendence).
