An official Resident Evil restaurant is set to open on 13th July in Tokyo, Japan. Named the Biohazard Cafe & Grill S.T.A.R.S., the restaurant will feature a Resident Evil-inspired decor and menu items.

While details are slim, it is said that there will be limited edition Resident Evil items for sale, performances from game characters, and we're assuming there will be a number of interesting photo opportunities as well. Sadly, it doesn't look like this will be a long term establishment or that there are plans for additional locations. It is said that this restaurant will only be open for a limited period of time and is expected to shut down after one year.

Last year, Capcom opened a Resident Evil-themed “shooting bar” that was temporarily set up for the 15th Anniversary of the Biohazard/Resident Evil series. We've included pictures from that location below, as we think there's a good chance that this restaurant setup is an expanded version of the bar idea. Check back with us next month for more details and photos from the restaurant. If you live in the area and are planning on visiting, let us know.
