The Woman in Black was a big win for Hammer and a sequel was officially announced in April. Titled The Woman in Black: Angels of Death, it was revealed that Jon Croker was hired to write the screenplay and would be working with The Woman in Black author Susan Hill on the story. While the project is still in the early development stages, here is the plot synopsis:

Via STYD: "Seized by the government and converted into a military mental hospital during World War II, the sudden arrival of disturbed soldiers to Eel Marsh Harsh has awoken its darkest inhabitant. Eve, a beautiful young nurse, is sent to the house to care for the patients but soon realizes she must save them from more than their own demons. Despite Eve’s efforts to stop her, one by one they fall victim to the Woman in Black."

This is one of multiple horror projects in the works from Hammer, including The Quiet Ones, which just started filming, and a movie based on the Winchester Mystery House. A director has not been announced for The Woman in Black: Angels of Death at this time, but we'll report back as soon as anything becomes official.
