Although we knew Bates Motel would be back for Season 3 in March, we now have an official premiere date that will be shared by both Bates Motel and The Returned.

The 10-episode third season of Bates Motel will debut on A&E on March 9th, 2015. Returning cast members include Freddie Highmore as Norman Bates, Vera Farmiga as Norman's mother, Norma Louise Bates, and Max Thieriot as Norman's half-brother, Dylan Massett. Tracy Spiridakos, who starred as Charlie Matheson in the now-defunct Revolution series on NBC, joins Bates Motel in the recurring role of Annika Johnson, an intriguing newcomer to the small town of White Pine Bay.

Based on the French series of the same name, A&E has ordered a 10-episode first season order The Returned, with the first episode also airing on March 9th, 2015. Mark Pellegrino (Supernatural, Being Human) stars and Carlton Cuse, who is also working on Bates Motel and The Strain, is writing and executive producing the series.

Look for more details on both series, including trailers, photos, and interviews, between now and the March 9th premieres.
