Originally scheduled for release on June 26th, 2015, there has been a slight date change for the upcoming Terminator reboot.

Paramount Pictures officially partnered with Skydance Productions and Annapurna Pictures for a reboot of The Terminator franchise. Currently titled "Terminator," the movie is now set for release on July 1st, 2015. The other movie scheduled to open on that big Summer week is Fox's Independence Day sequel

Alan Taylor will be directing the first of what is planned as a new stand-alone trilogy of Terminator films. Recently, Taylor directed Thor: The Dark World and he's also been a director on Game of Thrones, The Sopranos, and more. Laeta Kalorgridis (Avatar) and Patrick Lussier (Drive Angry) are attached to write the screenplay. While it was previously speculated that Arnold Schwarzenegger might return, there is no casting news as this time. We'll update readers as soon as more details become available.
