"The perfect job. The perfect apartment. A new, hopeful life. What – or who – can stand in the way? On March 29, Image Entertainment and Exclusive Media Group’s Hammer Films will release The Resident, the story of a woman whose new lodgings provide a blueprint for fear and secrets reside behind every wall. This taut thriller, balancing between nightmarish suspicions and unnerving realities will be available for an SRP of $27.97 for the DVD and $29.97 for the Blu-ray™.

Dr. Juliet Dermer (Academy Award™-winner Hilary Swank, Million Dollar Baby) has recently separated from her husband. Having found the ideal New York apartment, she is ready to start a new life and embrace her new freedom. The new accommodations come with spacious rooms, a spectacular view, and a helpful & handsome landlord (Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Watchmen, “Grey’s Anatomy”).

Yet, each room houses a promise of terror as Juliet gets the unnerving feeling that she is not alone. She feels that she is being watched…that a stalker lurks behind those spectacular views. Juliet fears that pure evil is waiting at her own doorstep…

Directed by Antti Jokinen and co-starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Watchmen, P.S. I Love You), Lee Pace, (A Single Man, The Good Shepherd) and Hammer screen legend Christopher Lee (The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, Star Wars Episodes II and III), The Resident is a tense and terrifying shocker, a story of being in danger where we should feel safest …our own home."
