The Nintendo 3DS will be available in Japan this February and Capcom has two Resident Evil titles that appear to be ready for the system's launch.

Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D lets players play timed missions from Resident Evil 4 and 5, where you must get the highest score before the countdown clock reaches zero.

Resident Evil: Revelations is a 3rd person action game that, unlike Resident Evil 5, allows you to move while shooting and features Jill Valentine as a main playable character.

If you are thinking of picking up a 3DS when it is released, you should check out a number of gameplay videos Kotaku has posted from a 3DS Capcom event in Tokyo this weekend. While these games can't compete graphically with a non-portable console version, it looks like these games will still be fun for co-op with friends or those that are Resident Evil fans.
