Strap on that proton pack and grab your lucky cricket bat, because Funko's new Vinyl Sugar label is moving fast and strong out of the gate by immortalizing characters from fan favorite films Shaun of the Dead and Ghostbusters.
Recently unveiled at New York City's Toy Fair, Funko's Vinyl Sugar line is making a splash in the collecting pool with their Vinyl Idolz figures line, which is already depicting three of The Walking Dead's most popular characters, and now fans can look forward to placing Dr. Peter Venkman next to Daryl Dixon and slacker Shaun in between Rick Grimes and Michonne on the collectibles shelf.
Due out in August, the Shaun of the Dead Vinyl Idolz figures depict a cricket bat-wielding Shaun and a zombified Ed. Slated for a June release are the Ghostbusters Vinyl Idolz that feature Dr. Peter Venkman, Dr. Raymond Stantz, and Dr. Egon Spengler. We have images of the figures below (via Comic Book Resources):
