It really is amazing how many TV genre projects are in development. With shows like Lost and The Walking Dead reaching out beyond their target audience, we're seeing more and more people trying to bring horror and sci-fi to the small screen. According to a new report, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci are working on a Sleepy Hollow TV series.

Len Wisemen (Underworld) is already set to direct the pilot, with the series decribed as "a modern–day supernatural thriller based on the legend of Sleepy Hollow. It follows Ichabod Crane as he partners with Sleepy Hollow’s local female sheriff to solve the mysteries of a town ravaged by the battle between good and evil."

Joining Kurtzman and Orci is Phillip Iscove, who is said to have come up with the original idea for the project. According to the report, the project is being pitched to Fox, CBS, ABC and NBC. However, Kurtzman and Orci's K/O Paper Products is involved with 20th Century Fox TV, so we wouldn't be surprised if this showed up on Fox. This project is in the very early development stages, so we'll have more information if the project moves forward.
