The cast is starting to come together for the upcoming reboot of The Terminator series. After a number of male actors were in the running for the role of Kyle Reese, it has been revealed that Jai Courtney is officially on board.

Courtney, who was most recently seen in I, Frankenstein, A Good Day to Die Hard, and Jack Reacher, will be joined by Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) as Sarah Connor, Jason Clarke (Zero Dark Thirty) as John Connor, and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

This movie will be helmed by Alan Taylor, who most recently directed Thor: The Dark World and previously directed a number of Game of Thrones episodes. Laeta Kalorgridis (Avatar) and Patrick Lussier (Drive Angry) have been working together on the screenplay, but we have no detailed story information at this time.

Earlier this year, Paramount Pictures partnered with Skydance Productions and Annapurna Pictures for this reboot of The Terminator franchise and a release date has been set for July 1st, 2015. (New casting news is thanks to Variety!)
