Sorry, Leatherface fans. If you were looking forward to checking out The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D this Halloween, you're now going to have to wait until 2013. Lionsgate has moved the release date from it's original October 5th spot to January 4th, 2013.

Directed by John Luessenhop, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D stars Alexandra Daddario, Scott Eastwood, Bill Moseley, Tania Raymonde, Trey Songz, Keram Malicki-Sanchez, Shaun Sipos, Thom Barry, Paul Rae, and Richard Riehle. The new movie is not a remake and does not tie into the earlier remake from Platinum Dunes. Instead, this film is being developed as a direct sequel to the storyline from the original 1974 movie.

Taking its place in October is Sinister, a found footage horror film starring Ethan Hawke and Vincent D'Onofrio. Tim Burton's Frankenweenie also opens on October 5th and Paramount will release Paranormal Activity 4 on October 19th.
