Fans of the comic book and Lauren Cohan on The Walking Dead TV series will be happy to know that she has been promoted to a "series regular" status. What does this mean actually mean? Plan on seeing more of Maggie in The Walking Dead Season 3.

As first reported by TV Line, no character necessarily safe, so this new status does not guarantee that she'll survive the season. Both Jon Bernthal and Jeffrey DeMunn has the same series regular status going into season 2. Also, the fact that there isn't an announcement about Scott Wilson doesn't necessarily mean that he won't get the same promotion or that Hershel will die.

While expected, we also have one more interesting item to report from TV Line's story. They have talked with Robert Kirkman, who confirms that the plan is to divide the season in half, similar to what was done in season 2: “The idea is we will do eight-and-eight... Getting eight-and-eight will almost be like doing two seasons a year, which is cool.”
