The living dead seemingly lurk around every corner in AMC's The Walking Dead, but in The Walking Dead: The Pop-Up Book, walkers literally reach out from the pages in search of their next meal.
Released today by Insight Editions, The Walking Dead: The Pop-Up Book showcases five impressive spreads featuring memorable landmarks from the show, including the hospital Rick Grimes wakes up in, a walker-ridden Atlanta, Hershel Greene's farm, the prison, and the dreaded Terminus.
Not holding back on the bloodshed, this book delivers gore galore in the fun pop-up style many readers fell in love with in their younger years. A gunshot to the head, intestines being ripped apart, and a living dead decapitation by the blade of Michonne's katana are all on glorious display within these pages.
Although it doesn't feature images of the human characters from The Walking Dead, Becca Zerkin and David Hawcock's meticulous paper engineering and Sally Elizabeth Jackson's eerie illustrations give the zombies a creative (and bloody) center stage that should satisfy any living dead lover.
