Captain America took the number 1 spot at the US box office this weekend, moving Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 to second place. With an estimated weekend take of $65.8 million, Captain America may have had the biggest superhero movie opening this year (currently held by Thor).

Next weekend's big genre release is Cowboys & Aliens. The Smurfs and Crazy, Stupid, Love also open next week, and with Captain America being well received, it may be a bit too crowded for Cowboys & Aliens to succeed next weekend. Here are the top ten box office results for this weekend:

1.  Captain America: The First Avenger - $65,827,000
2.  Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 - $48,065,000
3.  Friends with Benefits - $18,500,000
4.  Transformers: Dark of the Moon - $12,000,000
5.  Horrible Bosses - $11,720,000
6.  Zookeeper - $8,700,000
7.  Cars 2 - $5,726,000
8.  Winnie the Pooh - $5,141,000
9.  Bad Teacher - $2,600,000
10. Midnight in Paris - $1,899,000
