Weekend Box Office Update

Real Steel easily won the weekend, earning an estimated $27.3 million at the box office. George Clooney and Ryan Gosling's The Ides of March took a distant second place, earning $10.4 million. Dream House earned $4.5 million, taking its 10-day total to disappointing, but not unexpected, $14.5 million.

Next week's big genre release is The Thing (2011) and keep an eye out next weekend for details on early Paranormal Activity 3 screenings taking place around the US. Here are the top 10 box office results for this weekend:
