Writers Named For Leatherface 3D

Twisted Pictures (Saw Franchise) acquired the rights to produce a new Texas Chainsaw Massacre film  last year and with the Saw presumably wrapped up, more information has been revealed.

Bloody Disgusting has learned that Adam Marcus and Debra Sullivan have been working on the screenplay for what is being referred to as Leatherface 3D. For those of you wondering why the name Adam Marcus may seem familiar, he was responsible for both the writing and directing of Jason Goes to Hell.

With news that this film will continue the story from the original film, I'm more interested in this project than I was for the Platinum Dunes 2003 remake and prequel. We'll have to wait for more information to see whether or not this is a true sequel or an updated reboot with loose ties to the original.
