Following the blood-splattered events of The Strangers – Chapter 1, the terrifying trio of Dollface, Pin-Up Girl, and Scarecrow are back to bring more macabre mayhem to the big screen in The Strangers – Chapter 2, but the masked murderers may have run into more than they bargained for with the return of Maya (Madelaine Petsch), who has a killer instinct of her own after surviving the horrifying attacks of the first film.

With the relentless sequel now slashing into theaters from Lionsgate, Daily Dead had the great pleasure of talking with star and executive producer Madelaine Petsch (who is also executive producing and starring in the upcoming rom-com Maintenance Required), producer Courtney Solomon, and director Renny Harlin about making The Strangers – Chapter 2, including stepping out of the cabin and into the deadly town of Venus, taking the franchise into uncharted territory in the sequel, and the importance of giving Maya moments to reflect on the psychological impacts of the turmoil she's been through, all while new deadly threats wait for her around every corner...

Below, you can watch our video interviews with Madelaine, Courtney, and Renny, and we also have the official synopsis and trailer for The Strangers – Chapter 2, now playing in theaters.

"The Strangers are back – more brutal and relentless than ever. When they learn that one of their victims, Maya (Madelaine Petsch), is still alive, they return to finish what they’ve started. With nowhere to run and no one to trust, Maya must survive another horrific chapter of terror as The Strangers – driven by a senseless, unceasing purpose – pursue her, more than willing to kill anyone who stands in their way."
