Dimension Films has announced the acquisition of the vampire spec script Garden District. Written by Tony Jaswinski & Luke Goltz, the story involves a viral vampire execution video that may be real:

"In the film, after a mysterious video of a vampire’s execution goes viral, a trio of young, ambitious myth-debunkers head to New Orleans to find out if the video was real or fake. They soon find themselves up against dark forces and in over their heads."

Bob Weinstein had the following to say about the acquisition: “This film reminds me of the early days of Dimension... We look forward to making GARDEN DISTRICT as terrifying in theaters as it is on the page.”
