"Close your eyes and the adventure begins." Fans of Dreamscape might open their eyes this holiday season to find the 1984 fantasy horror film under their tree, as Scream Factory has slated the Collector's Edition Blu-ray of the beloved movie for a mid-December release, complete with new cover artwork from Paul Shipper and a fresh 2K transfer from the interpositive.

From Scream Factory: "The 1984 fantasy-horror-sci-fi hybrid takes center stage this winter! Today we reveal to you a few more details about our upcoming release that stars Dennis Quaid and Kate Capshaw in early roles. So let's get to them...

- Official street date is planned for December 13th
- This will be a branded as a "Collector's Edition" that will come with a slipcover.
- The newly-commissioned front-facing artwork you see pictured comes to us from artist Paul Shipper (The Thing, Mad Max). The memorable Drew Struzan-illustrated original theatrical image will be on the reverse side of the wrap.
- Bonus features and specs are still in progress and will be announced sometime in Oct. But we can confirm now that the film will be a new 2K transfer from the interpositive.
