We recently told you about the upcoming vinyl release of the Day of the Dead soundtrack and Waxwork Records is celebrating by holding a "Day of the Dead Soundtrack Festival" in Hollywood. Admission is free and the event includes a screening of Day of the Dead, along with a live discussion that features George A. Romero, Sherman Hoard, and John Harrison:

"Join La-La Land Records, Waxwork Records and Creature Features for the DAY OF THE DEAD SOUNDTRACK FESTIVAL at the historic Egyptian Theater in Hollywood, CA on Sept 30, 2013, at 7:00pm.

We’re celebrating the release of our brand new, expanded and remastered 2-CD limited edition release of John Harrison’s immortal DAY OF THE DEAD score, along with Waxwork Record’s limited edition double-vinyl version of the same title, with a SCREENING of the 1985 George A. Romero classic film DAY OF THE DEAD, to be followed by a special live discussion with composer John Harrison, director/writer George A. Romero and actor Sherman Howard “Bub,” hosted by film music writer and DAY liner notes author Jeff Bond.

There will be NO admission charge for this event. Admission is FREE, but you must obtain your ticket online from us via the “Get Tickets” link at the end of this announcement.

The live discussion will be followed by a SOUNDTRACK SIGNING. John Harrison, George A. Romero and Sherman Howard will sign ONLY DAY OF THE DEAD SOUNDTRACKS (CD and Vinyl) PURCHASED AT THE EVENT. No other items will be signed at this event. Additionally, Mr. Romero does not personalize autographs, but he will allow pictures. NOTE: These autograph rules will be strictly enforced.

The new DAY OF THE DEAD soundtracks will be available for purchase at this Egyptian Theater event, ahead of the CD’s official release on October 8th.  CD RETAIL PRICE: $20.  VINYL RETAIL PRICE: $35.
