Adrienne Barbeau to Receive Lifetime Achievement Award at New York City Horror Film Festival: Press Release: "New York, NY – Sept. 30, 2016. The 14th edition of the New York City Horror Film Festival celebrates the career of Adrienne Barbeau this November with the festival’s Lifetime Achievement Award. Debuting in her first feature film in her then-husband John Carpenter’s THE FOG, Ms. Barbeau continued in George Romero’s CREEPSHOW, and other favorites including Carpenter’s ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK and Wes Craven’s SWAMP THING.
