If you're eagerly awaiting the next film from Kill List, Sightseers, and High-Rise director Ben Wheatley, then you'll have to wait just a bit longer, as the movie has been pushed back slightly on the release calendar.
Deadline reports that Free Fire is now scheduled to come out on April 21st, a little more than one month after its initial March 17th release date.
A comedic thriller helmed by Wheatley from a screenplay he co-wrote with Amy Jump, Free Fire stars Brie Larson, Cillian Murphy, Armie Hammer, Sam Riley, Jack Reynor, and Sharlto Copley. Following its world premiere at TIFF, the film was acquired for US distribution by A24.
If you're unfamiliar with Free Fire, we have the movie's official synopsis, previously released trailer, and latest poster below.
Synopsis: "Free Fire centers around an arms deal that goes spectacularly and explosively wrong. Justine (Larson) has brokered a meeting in a deserted warehouse between two Irishmen and a gang led by Vernon (Copley) and Ord (Hammer), who are selling them a stash of guns. But when shots are fired during the handover, complete pandemonium ensues, with everyone at the scene suddenly thrust into a heart-stopping game of survival."
