If you're still on the fence about believing in the excitement factor for The X-Files event series, then maybe new photos of David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson as FBI Special Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, respectively, will sway you.

Entertainment Weekly has debuted new photos from The X-Files event series. In addition to the fresh images, EW also revealed captions hinting at the roles two key supporting characters will play in the event series.

Executive produced, written, and directed by series creator Carter, The X-Files six-episode event series will premiere on Sunday, January 24th, between 10:00pm - 11:00pm EST after the NFC Championship game on Fox. The second half of the two-part premiere will air at 8:00pm EST the following night on Monday, January 25th, with subsequent episodes also airing on Monday nights. Filming on the event series is now underway.
