Earlier this month it was revealed that Netflix will be releasing a new animated series based on the popular Castlevania video game franchise, and official artwork for the show has now been unveiled.

Castlevania executive producer Adi Shankar posted the official artwork for the show (see below) on Facebook, giving fans an early look at what to expect from the series.

Castlevania Season 1 will premiere sometime this year on Netflix, but an official debut date and casting details have yet to be announced. Stay tuned to Daily Dead for more updates, and check out the official info on the series below:

Castlevania series details from Netflix: "Inspired by the classic video game series, Castlevania is a dark medieval fantasy following the last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan, trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hand of Vlad Dracula Tepe himself. The animated series is from Frederator Studios, a Wow! Unlimited Media company, written by best-selling author and comic book icon Warren Ellis and executive produced by Warren Ellis, Kevin Kolde, Fred Seibert and Adi Shankar."
