Image Entertainment acquired Lucky McKee's All Cheerleaders Die after its TIFF screening last September and and we know that a number of readers have been waiting to find out when they could see it for themselves. There's not too long of a wait, as we now have word on when it will be released to VOD and theaters.
"Teenage outsider Maddy (Caitlin Stasey, I, Frankenstein) is keeping some dark secrets and holding a serious grudge against the captain of the Blackfoot High football team. When Maddy joins the school's elite and powerful cheerleading squad, she convinces her new friends to help inflict her revenge. After a late-night party goes awry, their plans take an unexpected turn for the worst and all of the girls die. A sinister, supernatural power intervenes and the girls mysteriously appear at school the next day with a killer new look… and some unusual new appetites. All Cheerleaders Die will be released first to VOD services on May 8th, with a limited theatrical release that will follow on June 13th. A Blu-ray / DVD release has not been announced yet, but will likely take place later this year. Written and directed by Lucky McKee and Chris Sivertson, All Cheerleaders Die stars Caitlin Stasey, Sianoa Smit-McPhee, Brooke Butler and Amanda Grace Cooper.
