The Curse of Sleeping Beauty: Press Release: "LOS ANGELES (November 4, 2015) – XLrator Media (Jimi: All Is By My Side, The Machine) has acquired U.S. distribution rights to the fantasy thriller THE CURSE OF SLEEPING BEAUTY from Bleiberg Entertainment for release in 2016. The two companies will develop and co-produce an episodic series based on the film and acclaimed artist Everette Hartsoe ("Razor") has created a graphic novel to tie in with the release of the film.

Bleiberg Entertainment and Red Granite International subsidiary Blue Box International are representing the international sales rights at the American Film Market.

THE CURSE OF SLEEPING BEAUTY stars Ethan Peck (Eden), the grandson of Gregory Peck, India Eisley (Underworld: Awakening, “The Secret Life of the American Teenager”), Natalie Hall (“True Blood”) and Academy Award®-nominee Bruce Davison (X-Men). The film was produced by Ehud Bleiberg (The Iceman) and Pearry Teo (Cloud Atlas). Teo directed from a screenplay he wrote with Josh Nadler, inspired by characters from the Brothers Grimm tale.

“With its iconic characters and a dazzling visual world, the film is a bold and dark new take on the classic Sleeping Beauty story and lends itself to creating other rich storylines for an episodic fantasy adventure series,” said XLrator Media CEO Barry Gordon.

Thomas Kaiser (Peck) inherits an ancestral mansion that has been in his family for generations -- only to learn that he has also inherited an ancient curse stemming back to the Crusades. Forced into his new role as "protector" -- the guardian appointed to keep the evil demons in the house at bay -- Thomas teams with an ambitious local realtor (Hall) and paranormal cleric (Davison) to unravel the mystery of the house, while struggling to awaken the beautiful Briar Rose (Eisley), held captive in a terrifying netherworld seen previously in his dreams."

Another Hole in the Head Film Fest: From Sfindie.com: "Celebrating 11 days of Independent Horror, Sci-Fi, and Fantasy, this year’s fest will consist of 26 features and 90 short films. Another Hole in the Head offers up independent film’s raw underbelly: the terror and gore, the fantastical and far out, the mayhem and mindf*cks —  the bloodbaths and beyond!

Opening Night
Another Hole in the Head kicks off its 12th year with Nina Forever (Blain Brothers) which premiered at this year’s SXSW and Fantasia festivals. This dark horror comedy features the twisted tale of a revenant, a ghost who returns from the grave to torment her ex-boyfriend and his new girl every time they try to get it on.

Closing Night
Another Hole in the Head proudly concludes this year’s festival with the incredibly graphic and gruesome film Bite (Chad Archibald). During its sold out world premiere at the Fantasia Festival, the movie-goers were so repulsed they began vomiting and fainting, and an ambulance had to be called to the scene. If you can handle it, this film screens on Sunday, November 15th at 9:00 PM

Local Features
At AHITH, we love our local talent, so we’re excited to premier work from three up-and-coming Bay Area filmmakers: All Through The House from Todd Nunes, Other Halves from Matthew T. Price, and Sacred Blood, a Christopher Coppola vampire film.

Tamika hails from North Beach, Maryland, a tiny town inches from the Chesapeake Bay.She knew she wanted to be an actor after reciting a soliloquy by Sojourner Truth in front of her entire fifth grade class. Since then, she's appeared in over 20 film and television projects. In addition to acting, Tamika is the Indie Spotlight manager for Daily Dead, where she brings readers news on independent horror projects every weekend.

The first horror film Tamika watched was Child's Play. Being eight years old at the time, she remembers being so scared when Chucky came to life that she projectile vomited. It's tough for her to choose only one movie as her favorite horror film, so she picked two: Nosferatu and The Stepford Wives (1975).
