This Friday, Lionsgate is unleashing Jigsaw in theaters once again with their 10th anniversary re-release of James Wan’s Saw just in time for Halloween. An independent horror movie that caught audiences by surprise in October 2004, Saw quickly became one of the most successful horror films released in theaters since Scream and was hugely influential as well.

To celebrate this milestone, Lionsgate recently rounded up several of the key players involved with the making of Saw for a special 10th anniversary press conference, including Wan, Leigh Whannell, co-stars Tobin Bell and Shawnee Smith as well as producers Mark Burg and Oren Koules. The group discussed the process they went through in getting the indie project off the ground over a decade ago now, their initial reactions to the success that Saw experienced upon its opening weekend in October 2004 and reflected on how the original film, and the franchise as a whole, has continued to make an impact on their respective careers.
