For their genre debut, The Gallows, co-writers and co-directors Travis Cluff and Chris Lofing introduce us to Charlie, an unfortunate drama kid who died during production of a high school play and has returned 20 years later to terrorize a new generation of students about to perform the very play that once claimed his life. The Gallows stars Reese Mishler, Pfeifer Brown, Ryan Shoos, and Cassidy Gifford and arrives in theaters everywhere this weekend, courtesy of Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema.
During the recent press day held at the Hollywood High School, Daily Dead had the opportunity to speak with The Gallows’ directing duo about what inspired their story, the challenges of achieving in-camera scares, and both Cluff and Lofing discussed their experiences collaborating with Jason Blum and the team at Blumhouse Productions as well.

Heather A. Wixson was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs, until she followed her dreams and moved to Los Angeles in 2009. A 14-year veteran in the world of horror entertainment journalism, Wixson fell in love with genre films at a very early age, and has spent more than a decade as a writer and supporter of preserving the history of horror and science fiction cinema.
