Weekend Box Office Update

The Lion King in 3D claimed the top spot at the box office this weekend with an estimated domestic take of $29.3 million. Contagion fell to second place, but had a respectable showing of $14.4 million and a 10-day total of $44.2 million. The remake of Straw Dogs had a disappointing opening, while Drive had a soft opening despite critical praise.
