Michael Fassbender has become a hot commodity as of late, after being featured in Inglourious Basterds and cast as Magneto in X-Men: First Class. He is associated on a number of other upcoming projects, and Fox must be happy with his work on First Class, as he has been given the starring male role in Ridley Scott's Prometheus.

Fassbender will be joining Noomi Rapace and another yet to be determined high-profile female lead in the sci-fi film, scheduled for release on June 8th, 2012.
